It's hard to believe that it's only 5 weeks until our Stedman Hike for Hospice. If you haven't had a chance to pick up your pledge form, come and see me at our office at 99 Wayne Gretzky Parkway and pre-register.
Our media launch is planned for 11:00 am on Friday, April 18 at Stedman Community Hospice. Our billboard faces, Lynn Haig and her granddaughter Mykayla will both be there. I understand that Mykayla is busy preparing a short speech...she's so precious!
Our Honourary Chair, Walter Gretzky, along with our Ambassador, Cyrus Villa will all be there to greet the media and help us spread the word about Stedman Community Hospice and our Hike. I hope that you can join us.
Speaking about our billboard faces, I am very excited to report that in one week, our billboard campaign hits the streets of Brantford! Drop me a line and let me know your thoughts about our billboards and remember, pick up your pledge forms.

Wednesday, March 19th ~ Dedicated Hikers
Today I had a lovely conversation with a Hiker from last year, Cathy Carswell. Cathy and her daughter Kerry are returning to the Hike for Hospice this year and have already been collecting pledges.
Cathy is in a wheelchair, but that doesn't stop her! Last year, the pair were committed to completing the entire 4km and are proud to report...they did it. Cathy was happy to tell me that their dog Molly also took part in the Hike, sporting a Hike for Hospice t-shirt. They are looking forward to another 4km Hike this year...way to go Cathy and Kerry!
This year, the Carswell ladies will be Hiking in memory of Cathy's mom who just recently passed away at the Lifecare Centre...a great tribute to a great woman.

I've Had Enough Winter!!
Woke up to more ice on my car and slippery driving conditions into the office. I say...Enough already!!!!
Just imagine the feel of the sun on your face and seeing flowers poking up out of the ground...and no snow anywhere.
Lynn Haig, our famous billboard face, was in the office to let us know that her donations for the Hike are starting to pour in...way to go Lynn!
So, today we'll think about positive, sunny thoughts and maybe we can just will all that snow away.
